We're looking for a Learning & Development Facilitator to join our team and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that support employee success across our organization. This role is ideal for an experienced facilitator or trainer with a passion for adult learning, program delivery, and developing others. Experience within the insurance brokerage industry is strongly preferred, as you'll be delivering training on brokerage processes, systems, and technology to employees across both our branch network and Head Office.
This is a hybrid position with monthly travel between our Welland and Mississauga training facilities as required.
What does the [Role Name] do?
As a Learning & Development Facilitator, you'll be responsible for delivering impactful learning experiences that support employee success across both Head Office and branch operations.
In this role, you will:
- Facilitate engaging virtual, recorded, and in-person training sessions through BIG University.
- Deliver training on insurance brokerage processes, internal procedures, carrier portals, and business systems.
- Provide instruction and guidance on key technology platforms, including Applied, Power Broker, Jira, and other internal tools.
- Support learners by answering questions, providing coaching, and helping employees apply new knowledge in their day-to-day roles.
- Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, presentations, guides, and other learning resources.
- Assist employees in identifying and accessing training programs that align with their roles and development needs.
- Coordinate and support course enrollment and participation within BIG University.
- Manage and resolve training-related technical support requests through Jira.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external insurance partners to coordinate and deliver relevant learning opportunities.
- Monitor attendance, engagement, and learner feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness.
- Support compliance and regulatory learning initiatives by ensuring training content remains accurate and current.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to learning platforms and training delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the organization.
- Stay informed on industry trends, insurance market updates, and emerging best practices to keep training content relevant and impactful.

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO), Level 1 or higher.
- Minimum 3 years of insurance brokerage experience or related industry experience.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, brokerage operations, and risk management practices.
- Previous experience facilitating training, coaching, mentoring, or delivering educational programs.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
Assets
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Insurance, Adult Education, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Power Broker, Applied, Jira, or similar business systems.
- Experience developing training materials, job aids, presentations, and learning resources.
- Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Adult learning, instructional design, or facilitation certifications.

Compensation
$62,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
